Yes, the world is in shambles. It always has been. A tug of war between order and disorder, taking on different forms, states, faces, identities, labels, and -isms. We get lost in these complexities and search for meanings within them. But every now and then we seek the essence and listen, and when we do, we allow for a bit of truth to shine (through us). This war has been around since our beginnings....
How often do we sit and reflect upon our own nature? Life is a series of moments, each of which, is a chance to remember the familiar. Some say we have forgotten it, while others demand proof. However, this sense of familiarity rushes up to the surface in moments of solitude. Now anything can be up for debate, but no one can deny, that we and the universe are of the same source....
The path between time and its essence begins by asking the question: What is time? The question is a universal one. It is shared among seekers, mystics, philosophers, and scientists. It is a question we all have asked at least once. It is an answerless question, not because it doesn’t have an answer, but because its answer stretches from the very center of this “circular” reality we are experiencing, into everything we have or haven’t observed yet....
If only we knew who we really are, we’d remember and surrender in an instant. There is a thing we humans identify with; a thing we call us. It can be described in so many ways and called by so many names, because its “reality” is so elusive, multifaceted, and abstract. Despite its complex nature, its survival is entirely dependent on something greater than itself. Its existence is a consequence of the presence of something real; a consequence that points to its simple and illusory nature....
A poem, like any art form, storms through the creative within without warning. There is a magic to writing a piece, a sadness to letting it go, and an ecstasy to performing it for and with an audience. Life happens, and through the experiences we evolve, and as we do, so does the medium through which the art is received and transmitted.
